The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian Life (LG. 11). Jesus instituted the Eucharist at Last supper and requested the Apostles “Do this in memory of me” (Lk 22:19). Thus from Apostolic occasions, the Church has been celebrating the Holy Mass uninterruptedly (Acts 2:46).
The present form of celebrating the Holy Mass has two tables, the Table of the Word and the Table of the Bread (GIRM Chapter II. No.28).The Church formally offers the Lectionary with fastened biblical texts for proclaiming the WORD within the daily celebration of Holy Mass (GILH Chapter II, Nos.3637).
Many nice saints have skilled the grace of the Word of God which helped them to participate in the Liturgy “fully, consciously and actively” (SC. 14). The Readings nourish the individuals with power to place the message into apply and witness to Jesus’ love and repair to the bigger society (SC. 10).
To help the people of God for correct preparation to learn and to take heed to the Word of God in daily Mass, varied aids are made available, for example: Liturgical diaries, Reflections, Sermon books, I- breviary, Loudate , Websites, and so on.
In the age of electronics, digital media plays a distinguished function in the proclamation of the Word. I am happy to launch the Liturgical readings Telugu App, “DIVYA POOJA PATANAALU”. It is a lay initiative that may help the Telugu talking Catholic World, each Clergy and Laity in accessing the day by day Mass Readings of their good phones proper on their palms. This App isn't meant for utilization in Liturgy however a well timed software for preparation for correct participation in Holy Eucharist.
