Inspired by superior controls in high-tier iOS platform video games, I determined to create an common gentle keyboard for:

- 8/sixteen-bit laptop emulators (Atari, Amiga, C64) - QuickJoyIME

- NES (QuickJoyIME for NES)

- QuickJoyIMEs requires Android 3.0

- it is designed for telephones, not for tablets (I don't have an Android pill but) but it's largely configurable

- QuickJoyIME: the buttons are mapped to D (left), F (right), R (up), C (down), A (fireplace) - you need to reconfigure emulator to make use of with QuickJoyIME

- QuickJoyIME for NES - the buttons are mapped to D (left), F (right), R (up), C (down), A (A), S (B), 1 (begin), 2 (choose) - you need to reconfigure emulator to use with QuickJoyIME

- it isn't suitable for video games requiring simultaneous urgent of fireplace button AND diagonals, i.e. Turrican, Metroid or Soccer Kid)

Recommended video games - it works GREAT with ninety% platform video games corresponding to Lethal Weapon, Addams Family, Superfrog, Super Mario and so on.

Installation.

1. QuickJoyIME installs 2 input methods (gentle keyboards) - which are disabled by default - and a small utility app known as QuickJoyTool. Use QuickJoyTool to manually add QuickJoyIMEs to the system input methodology listing (Select Input Method Configure input strategies) or use the system settings to take action.

2. QuickJoyTool could also be used for quick switching between input strategies and to set chosen input methodology to remain on top permanently (allowing you to enter emulator enter config and map QuickJoyIME controls to emulator controls).

Usage.

1. You can set QuickJoyIME as the default input method (Select Input Method).

2. Use Toggle Input Method button to point out/cover QuickJoyIME (it will stay on top whenever you go to the launcher - remember that it'll disappear when you press the BACK button).

How to use it with UAE4DROID:

1. Enable Alternate Input Method in settings.

2. Launch Q
