Wetterradar - Precipitation radar and prediction

The app Wetterradar offers visualization of precipitation radar pictures and different options for the area of Germany. Please observe, that the app covers only Germany and components of its neighboring nations.

Radar types:

- Precipitation radar reside 2 hours forecast (reflectivity)

- Precipitation sort radar (e.g. mild rain, hail, snow, ...)

- Precipitation summed (5 minutes) 2 hours forecast (litres per hour)

The map can be freely moved and zoomed in any way to provide detailed insights in arbitrary places.

Precipitation radar stay 2 hours forecast

With the stay radar it is possible to visualize the present precipitations throughout the map. Furthermore, a two-hours forecast is provided serving to to estimate the longer term growth of precipitation. The reside radar forecast is updated every 5 minutes with a delay of approx. three minutes. The colours signalize the strength of reflectivity (higher reflectivity = more precipitation).

Precipitation type radar

Unlike the radar live forecast which offer solely reflectivity information, the sort radar supplies information regarding the precipitation kind 2m above floor. The colours signalize for example rain, hail and drizzling. It is up to date every 5 minutes with a delay of approx. three minutes.

Precipitation summed (5 minutes) 2 hours forecast

This visualization supplies information about the amount of precipitation within 5 minutes plus a forecast for the next two hours. The colours signalize the quantity of precipitation in litres per hour. This visualization is updated each five minutes with a delay of approx. three minutes.

About climate forecasts

It is not attainable to forecast the weather exactly. Thus, all forecasts supplied on this app are distinct from the precise weather growth. Also, measured values may be barely distorted or lowered in decision as a result of data processing.

All fundamental options of the app are free. There are in-app purchases for an ad-free model and a premium model including extra options marked with an (€).
